Polaroid of the week: Baby monkey in Costa Rica
This week’s Polaroid features one of our favorite things in Costa Rica – a baby monkey! The wildlife here just does not cease to amaze us!

One of our favorite things to do is watching the sunset on the beach. And this particular beach, Playa Pelada, is an excellent sunset spot!
This week’s Polaroid features a stunning sunset over Santiago de Chile!
We met Frank walking through the jungle on Little Corn Island. For $1.50, he offered to climb up the tree and cut two coconuts open with his machete for us. You don’t turn down coconuts, and you sure don’t turn down a man with a machete in a jungle.
Bohol was the only island in the Philippines that I visited NOT for beaches and snorkeling, but for wildlife (tarsiers!) and the natural wonder of the Chocolate Hills.
I returned to Chiang Mai last week, the city in Northern Thailand that I called home for nearly three months in 2011/12. My return involved elephants, vegetarian paradise, and lots of temples!
The Globetrottergirls Polaroid of the Week this week focues on the horse-drawn carriage, which remains one of Nicaragua’s most popular, and definitely the coolest, forms of transportation.
We saw an alien in Roswell! Hundreds of them, actually. Famous for the mysterious UFO crash in 1947, we stopped in Roswell on our New Mexico road trip to find out the true story…
We love the adobe houses around New Mexico, and the beautiful style is such a symbol of the Southwest.
We arrived in Buenos Aires last week and realized that to be fully accepted as ‘Porteñas’, we needed to get our very own Mate, a hollowed-out gourd used to drink Yerba Mate.
