Hello to all our readers.

We have put together this explanation of a few details on our site we think you should know, because we feel that when you know the whole story, you can trust us entirely.

First of all, we are disclosing here that we have included certain products and links to products on GlobetrotterGirls.com and should you make a purchase through these links, we may earn a small commission.

The goal of this website is to share important travel tips and advice based on our personal travel experience and inspire you to get out and see the world. We choose to link to products and services that we personally believe in, and the majority of all links are not affiliate links. It is nearly impossible to keep an updated list, but you can assume that an Amazon.com link is an affiliate link.

In addition to affiliate links, we do run advertising here on our website. Like Google, Facebook or any offline newspapers and magazines, we only work with advertisers we think are relevant and helpful to you, as readers and travelers and promise to never put advertising above the needs and interest of our readers.

However, please understand that GlobetrotterGirls.com is a for-profit business, which helps to further fund our travels. Without profits, we cannot continue to be out here and reporting back to you the best travel advice we can possibly provide.

We also work together with tourist boards (press trips) and travel vendors (hotels, tour agencies) to increase our own travel industry awareness and cover / review the experience in full for readers of our website. These parties occasionally help us to offset our costs by bearing part or the whole of the cost of our visit. However, this does not affect our editorial standards in any way. In fact, during a trip to Savannah, we were underwhelmed with a specific tour that had been sponsored, and we were not afraid to name it the worst tour we have ever been on.

We promise to continue to provide honest reviews of travel experiences, products and services to you, our readers, in order to get you the information you need to get out and explore the world in the most well-informed way possible.

If you have any questions regarding the above, please do not hesitate to contact us by using the contact page. It can be accessed on the menu above.

Cheers from the road,

Dani Heinrich
