Notes from the beach house

While we were staying at the beach house, we had many little geckos that were hanging out there with us – including this one, our personal favorite!

We are three days in to a two month housesit on a remote part of the Mexican Riviera Maya. Over the next few weeks, we’ll be posting in our Notes from the Beach House series to share the highs and lows of one our favorite aspects of long-term travel – Housesitting around the world. Stay tuned!

Our time at the beach house has gotten considerably more intense since our last posting…not least due to a visit from a hurricane called Ernesto.

We finished our housesit in Mexico and started our next housesitting assignment in Costa Rica with a big bang – Costa Rica welcomed us with an earthquake!
