As we are leaving South East Asia, we are thinking of all the things we’ll miss – one of them being the daily alms giving ceremony that we witnessed in many places.

After 6 months, we finally found a tropical island in South East Asia that boasts the serene,white-sand beaches we have been dreaming about on Koh Rong, Cambodia – but we had to work to get there!

How bizarre was it to bargain for the price of a tuk tuk ride, when the driver was about to take us out to visit the Killing Fields, the genocide museum which explicitly tells the story of the reign of Pol Pot and the Khmer Rouge from 1975-1979. The entire day we choked back tears and learned about Cambodia’s history.
