We spent a few days in Sihanoukville last week and truly felt like we were on vacation! The main reason for this was our excellent hotel, the Beach Club Resort.

We arrived in Cambodia last weekend and spent our first few days in the town of Battambang, where we learned that coconuts are everywhere!

We celebrated our 800th day on the road yesterday! Today we’re sharing the tops and flops of the last 100 days, which we spent in India, Singapore, Malaysia, the U.S. and Mexico.

This year has been a total beach for the two of us. Having spent over five months on the coast around the world, we share our top five beaches of the year in this post.

How bizarre was it to bargain for the price of a tuk tuk ride, when the driver was about to take us out to visit the Killing Fields, the genocide museum which explicitly tells the story of the reign of Pol Pot and the Khmer Rouge from 1975-1979. The entire day we choked back tears and learned about Cambodia’s history.

After 6 months, we finally found a tropical island in South East Asia that boasts the serene,white-sand beaches we have been dreaming about on Koh Rong, Cambodia – but we had to work to get there!

I spent my last week in Cambodia on the glorious beaches in the south. Otres Beach remains my favorite one, and I enjoyed a few wonderfully lazy beach days there.
