I just returned from a city break to Buffalo, a city that took me by surprise! I had no idea I’d be wowed by so much grand architecture, art, and quirky neighborhoods!

We are having a love affair with Bavarian pretzels…you can get XXL pretzels, pretzel balls, even entire baguettes made of pretzel. They make ’em with salt, no salt, sesame seeds, even pumpkin seeds and fill them with chocolate, cover them in cheese or cut them in half with an inch-thick layer of butter in the middle.

Haw Par Villa in Singapore was one of the most bizarre attractions we have ever visited! Images of people being sawed in half, grown-ups milking, and other oddities..

Our last stop in Uruguay was the picturesque colonial town of Colonia del Sacramento, the first settlement in Uruguay, now a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

We visited the breathtaking Quebrada de Cafayate in northern Argentina, where we found stunning rock formations and saw some of Argentina’s most beautiful scenery.
