My road trip to the Dead Sea included mud, salt and tears – but it was one of the best days I had in Israel! Read more about the lowest and one of the saltiest places on earth.

Even though the 4am wake-up call was painful, it was well worth getting up so early to see the sun rise over the Dead Sea from the Masada. And my next stop, Timna Park, turned out to be just as spectacular!

I didn’t expect it at all, but Tel Aviv grabbed me hard, pulled me in with its irresistible aura, and didn’t let me go. I left my heart in Tel Aviv.

I’ll be returning to Tel Aviv to find out if it is possible to fully enjoy everything the city’s got to offer on a small budget – if you have any tips for me, let me know!
