Reflections seem fitting as Saturday nears and we pack our bags and move on from our time in Berlin – for now.
This week’s Polaroid mirrors our experiences this past month, as there are countless ways to experience the highlights of Berlin. Every day, on our way to meet with our friends, we speed past Berlin’s sights on our bikes: we fly through the Brandenburg Gate, coast past the Berlin TV Tower and leave and re-enter the American sector at Checkpoint Charlie. But there are so many hidden gems or ways of looking at things in Berlin, possibly the only German city that welcomes alternative perspectives to such an incredible degree.
That is possibly why we feel so at home here and this past month has been one of the highlights of our travels. Of course there is nothing quite like a sunny German summer, and July gave us the most perfect weather. In fact, Dani and I met during a summer just like this, and it’s meant the world to us to be able to repeat the spontaneous fun and playfulness we lived when we first got together seven years ago. The weather has actually been so warm, we welcomed the day of rain this week that left puddles all over the city and gave us all some relief from the tropical German heat.
When reflecting on our time here in Berlin, one thing is certain – we will most definitely be back.

I love the different, atypical shots of famous landmarks. What's the point of taking the same picture as thousands of other tourists and travelers have!? This is a great, unique shot! Well done.

I've seen the TV tower from a billion different angles but never captured one like this. Love it!!
