I returned to Germany in time to experience the closing weekend of Oktoberfest – three days filled with roller coaster rides, delicious treats and of course BEER!
Meet our favorite little donkey in the Alps! Every day, he and his wife greet us when we head down to the village. How’s that for a welcome?

During our road trip through Northern Arizona our path crossed the famous ‘Mother Road’, Route 66, several times. On the way we found numerous original gas stations, motels, road side shops with classic 50s & 60s cars out front and other Route 66 memorabilia which awakens the nostalgia of the Great American Road Trip from the Midwest to the Pacific Coast.
I’ve visited the Southwest five times over the past few years, but it took me until my 6th visit this year to finally visit a ranch, a real working dude …
When we visited the Saguaro National Park we came across these handsome horses that were taking their owners on a ride around this stunning scenery of Saguaros.
