Our Polaroid of the Week this week: The long way up – the climb up Cerro Negro volcano outside of Leon, Nicaragua before we lava-boarded down.

Innsbruck has it all: surrounded by a picturesque Alpine landscape, the city combines the flair of Northern Italy and the rustic feel of Southern Germany with a gorgeous medieval town center and youthful buzz year round.

This week I learned that snow is rather pretty and doesn’t (always) suck, that I can survive two days without checking my emails and that I have pretty amazing friends!

I returned to Germany in time to experience the closing weekend of Oktoberfest – three days filled with roller coaster rides, delicious treats and of course BEER!

Meet our favorite little donkey in the Alps! Every day, he and his wife greet us when we head down to the village. How’s that for a welcome?
