It’s official: I’ve got a huge crush on Austin. This wonderfully weird city has swept me off my feet with its craft beer, food trucks, and active community!

I was determined to head to New England to see the fall foliage there this year, but time didn’t allow for a greater road trip – instead, I headed to the Seven Lakes for a day!

I returned to New York to beautiful fall weather and went on an upstate road trip right away to take in the fall colors before the trees dropped their leaves…

And so my love story with New York continues… This past week in NYC has been amazing – I am still in disbelief about all the good things that have happened to me..

I finally visited the north of Italy, a part of the country I neglected during almost all of my 12 visits to the country. Now I wish I would’ve come earlier…

Stopping in Koh Chang for a few days was a spontaneous on-the-whim decision – and I am glad that I made the detour because the island is perfect for a mini beach vacation!

Venice was the last stop on my little tour of northern Italy, and it is safe to say that I picked the perfect place for a truly grand finale.

This week I had the best layover ever: 12 hours in Istanbul! I got to catch up with my friend Katie, eat yummy Turkish food and to check out a cool neighborhood I hadn’t been to yet.
