We’re back in Tucson for our third housesit here and have already had an interesting visitor in our front yard – a javelina, also known as skunk pig!

This week we leave Arizona and head over the border…to New Mexico! Our two week road trip starts tomorrow!

We may have saved thousands on accommodation costs, but that’s not what made our Brooklyn housesit such a dream. In this post we give an overview of the exciting things we were able to cram in to two months and what the true gift of this particular housesitting experience was for the two of us.

Last weekend we visited Tubac, a small artists’ colony only 20 miles from the Mexican border in Southern Arizona. This little town had quite a tumultuous past – read more about it here!
