The highlight of my week was the 4th July Holiday on Friday, which I spent with friends on a rooftop terrace in Brooklyn – the perfect place to catch Macy’s 4th July fireworks!

Another action-packed week here in New York: celebrating New York Pride, neighborhood walking tours, museums, barbeques and picnics, soccer games and al fresco opera – I love summer in New York City!

Yesterday, Coney Island turned into mermaid central when the annual Mermaid Parade marched down the boardwalk for the 32nd time – an unforgettable summer event!

Confession: I have a fear of heights that borders on a PANIC of heights. I had to face it in Whistler, Canada – read on for one of the most horrifying experiences in my life.

The best way to see Malta? Hire a car! You can see most of the island in a day, it is cheap and you’ll get to experience authentic island life, fishing villages and stunning beaches!

I couldn’t believe my eyes when we arrived on the peak of Whistler Mountain last week and I found myself knee-deep in snow!
