Estelí is located in Nicaragua’s Northern Highlands and the country’s 3rd largest city. The town was heavily involved in conflict during the Sandinista revolution of the 70s and 80s and still is one of the towns with the most support for the Sandinista FSLN party. Estelí may not feature the same colonial architecture as that of Granada or Leon, but the city is famous for its intelligent urban art. The graffiti and especially the murals carry significant political, social and historical messages.

Is that a wall or a building? It reminds me of the East Side Gallery. Nice pic nonetheless!

Hey Kenan, it's the side of a building in town. There is tons of revolutionary street art in town. Would recommend a stop there if you have the chance.
