Montreal is known for its French feel, but who knew that there would be such a great street art scene. We loved this Mexican mama, tattoo and all!
We spent 1 July, Canada’s birthday, in the country’s capital Ottawa, and had a blast watching the Canadians getting all dressed up in red & white and celebrating their nation’s biggest day.
We took our bicycles out to the Burritts Rapids Locks, lock 17 of 45 locks along the Rideau Canal in Ontario, a UNESCO Heritage Site in Canada.
We have been in Ontario for over four weeks now and almost every night, whether the day is filled with rain or sunshine, the big Canadian skies open up to create wildly vivid, dramatic sunsets. Walking through the streets in India, your nose is usually filled with the delicious smells of Indian spices coming out of a nearby house or restaurant… mmmh!
We have come across quite a few market oddities during our travels in Central America – a basket of live iguanas tied-up and ready to be cooked in Leon; fried grasshoppers and the last squeal of a pig’s life in Oaxaca – but never anything like what we saw in the Tuscan town of Lucca this week.
After over six months in South East Asia, we finally made it to Angkor Wat last week. Find out what impressed us the most here at the world’s biggest religious site.
