As winter is arriving in New York City, I am getting ready to leave the cold behind, switching the chilly temperature for Colombia’s hot and sunny Caribbean coast.
Last weekend, we went to Bisbee, Arizona, for their annual Pride event. We absolutely fell in love with this South Western mining town!
I’m back in Arizona and so far, my time here has been fantastic: canyon hikes, Saguaro National Park, a day trip to Tombstone and Bisbee, and my first ever county fair!

On 2 November or Dia de los Muertos (Day of the Dead), there are big kite festivals all over Guatemala. We were lucky to take part in a kite festival in Chichicastenango where the kids are kite crazy.
Cuenca is a beautiful colonial city in Ecuador, with gorgeous churches and colonial buildings. The perfect place to relax for a few days!
For the first time in seven years, I spent Christmas with my family in Germany and I had a blast experiencing German Christmas markets, baking cookies and having some quality family time!
