Hindu temples are some of the most colorful temples we’ve ever seen, practically dripping in statues of Hindu gods – both human and animal.

Elephants play an important role in Hindu processions, and in Hampi we got to meet one of the rare temple elephants – Lakshmi, who has been blessing pilgrims for over 25 years.

It was just an average day in Europe. There we were, ‘speeding’ along the Autobahn in our rented Smart car during the hour and a half journey from Innsbruck, Austria back to our housesit in the Bavarian mountains. 300 days on the road… almost exactly 10 months of backpacking! Looking back on Day 1 arriving in Las Vegas back in April to where we are now, we still can not believe how much life, experience, adventure – and work! – we have been able to squeeze into these 300 days.
