We spent a few days in Sihanoukville last week and truly felt like we were on vacation! The main reason for this was our excellent hotel, the Beach Club Resort.

One afternoon this week we set off with a big bottle of water and two mountain bikes to conquer caves and rumored waterfalls outside of Nong Khiew, a tiny town which spans either side of the wide Nam Ou river in Northern Laos. The day didn’t exactly go as planned, but it was perfect…

We saw many jaw-dropping sunsets in Laos, and this was our favorite one: from top of a hill in Luang Prabang, where the sun sets over the Mekong River.

After 6 months, we finally found a tropical island in South East Asia that boasts the serene,white-sand beaches we have been dreaming about on Koh Rong, Cambodia – but we had to work to get there!
