We have compiled a list of our favorite places in Tucson – what to see, where to eat, where to sleep and some ideas for trips out of town.

Cruising down Route 66 is one of America’s classics. We were lucky to experience some Route 66 nostalgia on our Northern Arizona road trip. Besides parts of the famous road, we visited Monument Valley, Canyon de Chelly, the Petrified Forest, Sedona, Navajo Country, Antelope Canyon, the Horseshoe Bend and the Grand Canyon.

Last weekend, I went to a PowWow, the traditional gathering of Native American tribes – a gathering filled with traditional dances, dresses and Native American culture!

I’ve visited the Southwest five times over the past few years, but it took me until my 6th visit this year to finally visit a ranch, a real working dude …

When we arrived in Bisbee, a small town in Southern Arizona, we had no idea it would be such an artsy community – we loved the street art we found all over town!

  The desert landscape and clear skies make for such beautiful sunsets here in Tucson.  Normally Dani can’t help but stop and get shots with a cactus or little lizard …

Last weekend, we went to Bisbee, Arizona, for their annual Pride event. We absolutely fell in love with this South Western mining town!

The past week has been an exciting travel week: I’ve been road tripping around Southern Arizona, hiking in National Parks and delving into the Old West!
