In a sad twist of fate and a splash of coincidence, after learning of the white-winged dove at the Arizona Sonora Desert Museum, one came crashing into our window at our housesit in the foothills.
Cruising down Route 66 is one of America’s classics. We were lucky to experience some Route 66 nostalgia on our Northern Arizona road trip. Besides parts of the famous road, we visited Monument Valley, Canyon de Chelly, the Petrified Forest, Sedona, Navajo Country, Antelope Canyon, the Horseshoe Bend and the Grand Canyon.
It’s my fourth time in Tucson and I am amazed about how much the downtown area has been changing since my first visit in 2010! My favorite discovery this year: some excellent new street art!
When we arrived in Bisbee, a small town in Southern Arizona, we had no idea it would be such an artsy community – we loved the street art we found all over town!
