Coney Island is the perfect night for a warm summer night – spend some time on the beach, stroll along the boardwalk, and watch the fireworks on Friday night!

I am looking back at the past four weeks, which I spent in New York City and Upstate New York, celebrating Thanksgiving, my birthday and so much more!

I experienced my first real blizzard this week, when I returned to New York. Within hours, the city was covered in 10 inches of snow – what an amazing spectacle!

The only thing that got me outside this week was my daily running challenge! I’ve deliberately chosen some of New York’s most scenic running routes – including stunning sunsets!

Even though my return to New York has been more stressful than expected, I was able to enjoy the tail end of cherry blossom season in the Botanic Gardens…

Upon returning to New York from Canada, I went straight out to the Jersey Shore – which turned out to be nothing like I expected! Check out Sandy Hook’s amazing sunset!

This week’s Polaroid features a spot in New York City that most visitors don’t make it to: The wonderful Sculpture Garden at the Cathedral of Saint John the Divine on the Upper West Side.

When I needed a break from the hectic life in New York City, I opted for Sandy Hook, a beach-filled peninsula along the Jersey Shore. The pristine beaches are pure bliss!
