Trend-Setting in Short North
Considered the heartbeat of Columbus, Short North is an eclectic, hip, and walkable shopping destination. Located in downtown Columbus, Short North features a number of vintage shops, family owned retail stores, art galleries, and more. Stores like Brigade feature large collections of clothing from independent brands. Or, have a blast from the past at Flower Child, a vintage shop specializing in mid-twentieth century clothing, housewares, and furniture. If you like shopping that’s off-the-beaten clothing rack, Short North is your best bet in Columbus.
Shopping Unlimited in Easton Town Center
Located in northeast Columbus, Easton Town Center is an easy 15-minute drive from downtown. Featuring over 200 stores and restaurants, this Columbus open-air shopping hub attracts over 21 million visitors annually, providing an all-day shopping experience. Easton Town Center is home to the world’s premier retailers, such as Nordstrom’s, Crate and Barrel, Anthropologie, Macy’s, and much, much more. If you don’t feel like shopping until you drop, Easton Town Center also features a number of enticing restaurants serving a variety of international cuisines.
Wonderbar Shopping in German Village
Just south of downtown, German Village is a historical neighborhood featuring tree-lined, cobblestone streets and mid-19th century architecture. Along with its many charms, the pedestrian-friendly area offers visitors a number of unique shopping options. From Italian ceramics to Parisian cookware, Caterina Ltd. carries an extensive selection of European housewares. Wine enthusiasts will enjoy perusing Hausfrau Haven, a wine store offering much more than wine. Aficionados will appreciate its impressive array of international wines, while the store also carries wine-themed décor and gifts.
Fashion-Forward in Polaris Fashion Place
Easily accessible via Interstate 71, Polaris Fashion Place is located in North Columbus and boasts a number of premier retailers under one roof. Polaris Fashion Place is a two-level shopping mall and home to celebrated retailers such as J.Crew, GAP, Express, Macy’s, and Forever 21. Although smaller in scale than Easton Town Center, Polaris Fashion Place is perfect for families and shorter shopping excursions. Polaris Fashion Place also offers a number of family and budget-friendly restaurants, including Dave & Buster’s, The Cheesecake Factory, and California Pizza Kitchen.
Shopping Under the Stars Downtown
Downtown Columbus is extremely walkable and offers visitors an excellent shopping experience during the day. For something a little different, downtown Columbus also holds a monthly event from April to December aptly named the Moonlight Market. While brick and mortar stores offer special late-night hours, during the Moonlight Market, Columbus’ downtown streets are lined with pop-up tent vendors, selling home-made jewelry, vintage clothing, and crafts under the glow of the street lamps. A shopping experience with a bit of area culture, the Moonlight Market also showcases local music and artists.
