Three things not to miss in Ontario, Canada

As one of Canada’s most spectacular provinces, Ontario is as diverse as it is vast, and has an immense amount of options to offer visitors. Planning a trip to Ontario causes the inevitable dilemma of how to fit in all the different things to do in the region in such a short amount of time. Since most travelers won’t be able to take months to visit, rather than list countless (and all equally worth a visit) destinations, it’s easier to highlight three experiences that together allow visitors to Ontario to feel the essence of the province.
Outdoor Ontario
First, whether it is the dramatic waterfalls of the Niagara escarpment or the more peaceful rugged landscapes seen further north, no trip to Ontario would be complete without spending much of the visit enjoying the natural beauty of the region. Nature lovers can explore the abundance of hiking trails, while golf enthusiasts can revel in the sheer number of golf courses throughout Ontario. Even those with a passing interest in the sport should wield a set of clubs for a day to experience what for many is a very typical Ontario day out.
Cosmopolitan Ontario
Ontario is home to the nation’s capital, Ottawa, where top-notch art, music and theater converge upon an ever-burgeoning cultural scene. To the west, Toronto is the most diverse city in Canada, making the cultural scene here relevant on a global scale as well as one of the best places for shopping in the country. But even the smaller towns and villages throughout Ontario offer top quality cultural experiences, such as Kingston, which packs in more museums, music venues and art galleries per square kilometer than almost anywhere else in Ontario.
Culinary Ontario
The culinary delights of Ontario are not to be missed! Ontario restaurants are world-class, with everything from fine-dining to small food stands serving up authentic ethnic cuisine. Sit atop Toronto’s famous CN Tower at the 360 Restaurant for unparalleled views of the city skyline, or head over to Little Italy, Portuguese Village, China Town or Kensington Market for mouth-watering global or very much local cuisine. There are hidden culinary gems throughout the small towns and villages of Ontario, too!
With a bit of research, planning a visit is a manageable task, though odds are as you arrive, you may already start planning the next trip to Ontario!

I have already been to many places and cities but have to agree that Toronto’ s restaurants are the best. I love the fact that even simple eateries offer some high-quality food. Recently I have discovered Utopia… This place is amazing and definitely worth visiting.

Thanks for the tip Jamie, we’ll be back in Toronto later in the month, so we’ll have to checkout Utopia!
